Sky needed a new site to attract talent onto their graduate career programmes. I was involved in most aspects of the project including the planning, scoping and IA stages, as well as UI design, front-end development and video production.
The site was a huge success and significantly improved the quality and quantity of applications. In 2012 it won a RAD award for best employer website and an s1jobs recruitment award for best website.
The IA was based on the existing site, but accommodated more sections and features. These included case studies, video profiles, guided tours, interactive location maps and integration of an online application system.
After conducting user testing on the previous site, we discovered that important content was difficult to find and the flash format meant user journeys and conversion rates couldn’t be measured.
The wireframes I produced enabled us to design the content hierarchy and interactions of each page based on what we learnt from user testing.
